Roderick Strong brought a wealth of experience when he arrived to the black-and-gold brand in 2016. He became an NXT Championship contender from almost the instant he showed up and has evolved into one of the ring’s hardest-hitting and best-conditioned Superstars, making the “Messiah of the Backbreaker” almost impossible to keep up with. Strong was the final piece to fall into place in the Undisputed ERA puzzle. After initially turning down their aggressive pursuit of him, Strong eventually shocked the system — and the NXT Universe — by aligning with The Undisputed ERA at TakeOver: New Orleans in 2018. 

The addition fortified the group’s already impressive ranks and helped push Undisputed ERA to new heights. As for Strong, he hasn’t looked back since, fighting side-by-side with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish wherever their rivalries take them, repping The Undisputed ERA all the way. He’s also tasted singles success when he defeated Velveteen Dream to win the NXT North American Championship in September 2019. With his fellow Undisputed ERA members always keeping a watchful eye, Strong operates with the confidence of a man who knows he has backup whenever he needs it — not that Strong needs backup to be a threat.
